Working with students at a writing workshop.

I love to visit schools, either in person or in an online chat! Here are some topics I've covered in the past:

1) Mystery Writing Basics – We discuss the elements of a mystery, and students write their own stories based on a kid-friendly crime scene I create for them.
2) Economics and its role in everyday life – I love to explore the concepts raised by Striker Jones with kids. Students will learn about incentives, risks, trade-offs, etc. and see how those concepts apply to their own lives.
3) Entrepreneurship – Being an author also involves becoming an entrepreneur. I love to talk with students about starting a business and the role of perseverance in its success.
